A CBR600RR from the mid-2000s and a later fuel-injected generation do not share valve specs, bodywork, or charging-system layout. Crashout Performance asks for the year before talking about shims, stators, or exhaust fitment. The same rule applies to a CBR1000RR and to other Honda sport and sport-touring models we agree to take.
Riders usually call about hard hot starts, a cylinder that feels weak, a charging light after a long ride, or a bike that was modified and never quite finished. Those are diagnostics and engine jobs, not a generic “tune-up” menu.

Charging and no-start electrical
Regulators, stator connectors, and kill circuits are tested before parts are ordered. A CBR that died after a heated-gear install often has a wiring story, not a mystery Honda disease.

Fluids, chain, brakes, and the small leaks that show up once the fairings are off. We still do not install tires or forks.

Hot starts and valves
A CBR that fires when cold and refuses to catch when hot is a classic reason to measure valve clearance and compression, not to replace the starter on the first visit. The starter can still be tired. It is not the first guess.
If a previous shop “did the valves,” ask whether they recorded the clearances. An adjustment without numbers is a story, not a record.
Charging after accessories
USB chargers, heated clothing, and alarm systems spliced into the wrong wire show up constantly on otherwise healthy Hondas. We repair the circuit and the connector, then retest charging warm.
A stator is replaced when the output test says it is done, including a hot test if the symptom is hot.
Performance without a pretend dyno
Exhaust and intake work is planned on the sportbike performance page. We do not advertise ECU flashing or Power Commander installs as a standing Honda service. If your CBR project depends on a flash, say that before you trailer the bike.
